Adam Puchalski

Metro Rail's Signals and Track employee, Adam Puchalski, is being recognized at the NFTA for finding 77-year-old Kaw Moo and his faithful four-legged companion, TJ, after they were reported missing by the Buffalo Police on social media last week.

Adam spotted Moo and TJ at Metro Rail's Humboldt Station on January 11 around 3 a.m. when he was conducting train control maintenance. He immediately called the Buffalo Police and told them of their location. Moo is Korean and does not speak English, but Adam did his best to communicate that help was on the way. When the police arrived they thanked Adam for his care and transported Moo (and TJ) to a local hospital for evaluation.

We hope you will join in congratulating Adam for going above and beyond for handling a delicate situation and getting Moo and his pup the help they needed. With the frigid WNY temperatures, the outcome could have been much more serious if the missing pair had not been found when they were. Thanks to Adam's resourcefulness, Kaw Moo and TJ are safe and sound.
